What do you really need for a successful winter season?

Parents often will ask, what do we need to make our season a success.  Warmth is key for most of us cold weather enthusiasts.  Since Padraigs Place provides the ski and snowboard equipment for you (adaptive and otherwise) your family really only needs to focus on having your skier/snowboarder warm.

A warm, wind resistant coat, snowpants, gloves are key.  We strongly encourage all of our participants to also wear a helmet.  We do have many helmets that are donated to our program so no need to rush to buy one (Unless you really want to). We will do our best to provide a helmet to anyone that needs one.

Socks are another important piece to the equipment.  We really encourage you to buy a good pair of ski socks.  If you need suggestions, we are happy to provide them.  Warm feet the key to a fun day on snow.   Socks, such as Smartwool socks are a favorite of mine.  Look for an actual ski sock that will be tall and fit snuggly (no too snug) and prevent wrinkles and folds in your boot.

Please call with any questions you have.  We are excited about the season ahead!
